Mmm… Is any one wondering what this means? Well, it is not much. Just that words are a bundle of letters that mean one thing or another.
Words are used and blurted out around us every time. Even though one did not give it a thought or know what it meant at the time, one always remembers how it made one feel.
That is where the tone sets in. It gives the meaning or makes one understand the mood or is it the mode it is used in or for?
The difference when the words are spoken , will stand out because of the way they made me feel.
What mark did it leave? Was it a stab wound? That one needs healing from.
Was it a soft caress? That one prays to treasure and pass on.
Who was one before the words? I mean, just a minute before?
Who was one during the words? Was I thinking or just blank?
Who am I after the words? Something definitely shifted and changed
That is a discovery after the effect .
There is no denying the fact that words have various effects on us either when we speak them, think them or write them.
In the bible we are advised to be mindful of our words. This is because of its effect on us and others. The Bible says a lot about the power of words, including how we use them and the consequences of our words.
Ephesians 4:29 – “Do not let unwholesome words ever come out of your mouth but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the needs and the occasion , so that it will be a blessing to those who hear you speak.” (Amplified version)
Our words have the power to build people up and give them life or tear people down.. words can inspire and encourage others while in the same sentence deflate and discourage.
it is all about how it made everyone feel after being spoken. Be mindful. Be aware. it is profound and becomes a layer of who are or or turn out to be. That is the power of words. Continue to seek wisdom on its use of words. never stop learning.
Wisdom and Wonder
Turning 60 has not been about “getting older.” It’s about stepping into the fullness of life with a clarity and confidence that only time can bring.
Over the years, I’ve learned to let go of what doesn’t serve me—the unnecessary worries, the expectations of others, and the constant need to prove myself. These burdens have fallen away, leaving space for what truly matters: joy, connection, and authenticity.
Family and long-lasting friendships have been my greatest gifts.
This is for all of you.
I am surrounded by countless blessings, and I give thanks to you—my tribe.
Your presence has made this journey bearable.
The simple act of being at the other end of the phone is priceless.
I have appreciated your check-ins, your care, and your love.
You are angels in human form, and I’ve felt your wings in every encouraging word.
Thank you for listening when I needed to speak, for offering me your time and your heart.
Your support has led me to a place of joy.
It is an honour to have you as co-celebrants in this journey of life.
You’ve restored my faith in humanity and truth,
And reaffirmed my belief in God, without whom none of this would be possible.
Through you, my strength has been renewed, and by God’s grace, I am still standing.
At the end of the day, always speak your truth.
Thank you for the wisdom and strength your love has given me.
Each one of you represents a reason why I am here today.
I love you all and will forever treasure your presence.
You’ve made this shared journey not only bearable but truly wonderful.
Thank you.
And remember: sixty is for thriving.
